Ahoy, Ahoy,
Well, we only have two more destinations in our Journey With Paul. This week we'll be on a tiny island named Malta but first I want to ask you a question. I have asked this before, but have any of you been sailing out on the ocean. Maybe you've been way out on a lake. What I'm talking about is the type of sailing where you are so far out to sea that you can't see land at all! That would be scary enough but imagine this. What if you were that far out and a small wind began to pick up, no problem, right? After all you're in a sailboat, we want wind. Now let's suppose that wind got stronger and stronger and stronger until after a while you started to get scared? Well this and much worse happened to Paul on this leg of his journey. It's one of the most detailed events told in the New Testament. See if you can get someone to read this adventure to you or read it for yourself. It's better than any action film or cartoon mainly because it's 100% true! The story begins in Acts 27- 28:10. Be prepared for some thrills!
Now to the most important part... THE PARTY!!! Parents in case you weren't told yet we are having a POOL PARTY!!!! It will be held at the Lodge on the mountain. It will be on Sunday the 29th from 4-6. All Kids Celebration participants, volunteers and parents are invited. The only thing you need to bring is yourselves and your towels. There will be light snacks provided. If your child is attending but is getting a ride with someone else, you will need to fill out a permission slip, (we will have one loaded soon) and given to me, Madalyn or Rick Wolfe. Love ya!
