GOD'S GIFT: Clear minds for troublesome times!
At 10:00 a.m. on Sundays, we're learning from Daniel practical points for staying connected to the "kingdom dimension", PLUS how to leverage the "unfair advantage" every believer has in times like these. Come ready to learn, participate and receive real insight for living life in this exciting, volatile days of prophetic promise!
What a celebration on Sunday, 10/5! How great He is.
From beginning to end Sunday morning, there was a common theme: God's faithfulness. In every report, testimony, teaching point and expression of worship the message was consistent. Whether you are looking for a miraculous outcome in a hopeless situation (thanks Joyce), looking to God for protection (thanks, Yuriy),"re-digging" old wells of provision (see Genesis 26, thanks Tim), persevering to "pass the past" of frustration and defeat (thanks, Joe) or needing a fresh grasp of the political landscape from God's perspective as we approach "Super Tuesday" (thanks, Jane). In the end, we allowed ourselves to be read by the Word as we asked, "What opportunity will we create in our mind right now? (see Heb. 11:14-15)" Will we go back, or will we go forward into the promise of the Father for our families, work, ministry? As I read your response, I was encouraged to find eye contact, affirming nods, and riveted attention on the "ministry moment" God gave us to reflect on how great He is.
Markets are down...opportunity abounds. Just ask Joe...
My nephew Joel and I just returned from Lowe's Motor Speedway (Concord, NC) this evening. Today, we were blessed with the opportunity to deliver the supply trailer for Elena and Joe Louis (www.godandnascar.com). Joe joined us for the trip down. When we stopped for lunch, I checked my phone for messages and noticed a headline that "The Dow was under 10,000 for the first time since 2004". I turned to Joe and said, "You are going to have more opportunity to minister hope to race fans this weekend than ever before." Why? Because NASCAR Nation will converge in Charlotte this weekend despite today's headline because of their love and devotion to the sport. However, haunting many of their minds will be what they have to face on Monday and the days that follow in their 401K's, maxed-out credit card accounts, jobs, and businesses. For 3,000 or more of those fans who will make their home at Country Crock Campground, Joe, Elena, and a team of volunteers from Gateway will minister from a cluster of RV's made available by New Bridge Baptist. They will be joined by driver Morgan Shepard on Sunday for the morning chapel service. All the rest of the time they will be available to listen, feed, pray and relate the real Good News to everyone who comes and goes.
